According to the Canada Adopts! list of famous adoptees, at http://www.canadaadopts.com/adoptiveparents/famous.shtml, Savage, the Seattle-based syndicated columnist, is an adoptee, but this is not true. He is, however an adoptive parent, as he describes in his book, "The Kid: What Happened When My Boyfriend and I Decided to Get Pregnant," published by Vision Express.
