Pascale, Lorraine
Pascale was the fourth child of a woman, but her father was not her mother's husband (they were separated at the time), and she went into care when they were reconciled. She spent several years in foster homes before being adopted by a white family.
She appeared in a Häagen-Dasz commercial and was the first Black British cover girl of American Elle (March 1994).
