McRobbie, Narelle
McRobbie was born to an Aboriginal-New Caledonian mother and Aboriginal father, and raised in the far north of Queensland. Her father died when she was a small child. When she was eight she was fostered by a white couple who encouraged her to maintain contact with her birth family.
She began writing at an early age, and now writes children's books.
