Field, Shirley Ann
Field was born in London and evacuated to the North of England during World War II. She went from there to a children's home in Bolton, Lancashire, and after that she had virtually no contact with her birth family.
She has appeared in Saturday Night and Sunday Morning, My Beautiful Laundrette, Doctor in Clover and Alfie, among other films. She is also a vice-president of NCH Action for Children.
