Dodson, Adrian
Dodson was born in Guyana and orphaned as a young child. He was adopted in Guyana but his family later moved to the USA.
He began winning boxing matches when he was seven. He has been a British citizen since 1990 but represented Guyana at the Seoul Olympics. He has been US Golden Gloves champion. He lost his match at the Barcelona Olympics when the British team managers made him box out of his weight class. As of July 1999 his record was 19 wins to one loss, with 14 knockouts. In March 2001 he became world super-middleweight champion, and he also has earned a master's degree in information technology.
