British ballerina

Bussell's parents were married but separated before she was born. Her mother (also a ballerina) remarried and she was adopted by her step-father, a dentist.

She has been principal ballerina with the Royal Ballet since 1990. Her birth father, John Crittle, was a fashionable tailor, whose clients included The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Procul Harum, Elvis Presley and Jimi Hendrix.

She has never met her father, who lives in Australia.
