Bhattacharya, Namita Kaul

Bhattacharya is the adopted daughter (some political opponents claim she is also his birth daughter) of Indian Prime Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Atal Behari Vajpayee. She is also his political secretary. Her birth father was a friend of Vajpayee when they were both students at Ramjash College. Her husband is Ranjan Bhattacharya, who was Prime Minister Vajpayee's officer on special duty. Her birth sister is married to a leader of the anti-Vajpayee faction in the BJP, Shakti Sinha.
